She is mother to two daughters, and provides nurturing and care to all the children at pre-school. She can often be found in the book corner, surrounded by a group of children sharing a story with them. She is also responsible for health & safety within the setting.
Claire - joined the team in 2019 and has many years of experience within childcare. Claire is the Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator for the setting. Claire also has two children.
Bev - Bev joined us in 2022 and has a wealth of experience working with children of all ages.
Bev enjoys singing, arts and crafts and nature. She believes that children should be children and has a passion for creating positive childhood memories for all.
All staff undertake regular training and development which is assessed internally and externally. The whole team have completed Paedeatric First Aid training, safeguarding and Food Hygiene training.
On enrollment, your child is allocated a key carer who supports them and who has overall responsibility for their individual assessment. Our adult to child ratio is an absolute maximum of 1:6 (1:4 for two year olds) so you can be certain that your child is receiving the attention that they need. As a small, nurturing setting, whilst your child has a dedicated key carer, all staff build a strong relationship with all of the children, enabling them to feel secure within the setting even if their key carer is absent.
We welcome any help that mums and dads can give us, whether that’s as a committee member or by reading stories and helping the children alongside our own staff. As well as taking an active part in your child’s learning, you will also be able to see how your child interacts with others in their pre-school setting.
There is a strong sense of togetherness at Littleton Pre-School between the children, parents, staff, committee and the wider community. There are regular social evenings for parents as well as fund raisers and other events. Children are able to feel secure and establish strong bonds with their peers from an early age.
